Feedback from you

We have the following questions for 2 of our current teachers:

1. How long have you been working at this school?
2. How do you like your classes and students there?
3. What is your overall impression of the school?
4. Do you get all the necessary assistance from the school's personnel?
5. Have you got communication enough not to feel lonely?
6. What do you like and dislike there most?
7. Are you satisfied with the resources/facilities provided?

And here are their answers:

Naomi Rudoe

I've been working at the Presidential School, a private school near Filyovsky Park, for 3 months. I teach 4 classes of children aged 5-10; they come out of their school classes and have an English lesson for 45 minutes twice a week. It was a daunting experience at first, negotiating the bus journey and the walk through an icy forest, getting past security controls, finding a corridor full of tropical fish and caged birds, and a class of immaculately-dressed, butter-wouldn't-melt-in-our-mouths 7-year-olds waiting for me. Teaching here is a challenge, but seeing the youngest ones progress from 'Hello' to 'Can I have a pencil, please?' has been a big reward.
I have excellent support from the staff at Molodyozhnaya; they are always ready to provide me with all the resources and help that I need.

1. Since September 2001
2. most students are OK but like anywhere in the world teenagers can be troublesome sometimes
3. more organised then most Russian companies but could also make improvements. Especially on the management front
4. Usually, yes sometimes it can be difficult to get to talk to the right person at Borovitskaya because there doesn`t seem to be good communication sometimes
5. maybe more nights out for teachers with not much Russian would help especially for teachers in the smaller schools
6. I like many of the students
Dislike:
I feel the timetabling could be alot better organised. I realise this is difficult, but if a routine could be established early on I feel BKC would have fewer problems keeping staff. For many teachers it is difficult to make arragements because of frequent changes. With regards to the contract it does not always appear to be adhered to by BKC
7. The resourses where I have worked are generally good. The facilities especially in many flats are not what they stated to be in the contract. This should definitely be addressed.
