The Adventures of Gulliver

This little space has been set-aside for the little people. I've been asked to write a little bit about teaching little kids. Little do they know that there is little that I know. If you won't tell then nor will I. However, I've done it for a little bit and like it a lot.

Teaching VYLs is not really like any other TEFL job, but it's not that different either. In this little space I hope to strip away some of the mystique that surrounds it. You don't need to be 'a special kind of person'. (After all, I'm doing it.) You have to be willing to step outside your comfort zone, but we have a rigorous training schedule and some machines that will take care of the rest.

Should there be any particular issue that's keeping you awake at night, (preferably about VYL) let me know and I'll give it a go. The "official" age range is 4-6 but we're flexible (that what one of the machines does) and hopefully there will be some useful stuff for slightly less little kids too.
